Meet Ford's New Mustang-Inspired All-Electric SUV

The nation's most iconic sports car is getting a 21st century makeover. Imagine the performance of the Ford Mustang, with the body of a crossover, then make it all electric. That is the efficient Ford Mach-E, in a nutshell. This is the first step in Ford's new generation of all-electric vehicles. Fairway Ford of Placentia wants to introduce you to the newest member of the Ford Family, the Mustang Mach-E.

So, what is the Ford Mustang Mach-E? The recently-revealed crossover represents Ford's move to all-electric vehicles. It has the body of a SUV with the heart of the legendary Mustang. The EPA expects the Mach-E to have a range of 300 miles, with the standard and extended range battery options. Select rea-wheel or all-wheel drive, for an ultimate driving experience around Orange County.

Just because it runs on a battery back, doesn't mean you sacrifice any power. The extended-range all-wheel drive configuration is expected to get 332 horsepower and 417 pound-feet of torque. The Mach-E lives up to the expectations of its Mustang heritage with the powerful motor, while recognizing its new roots in electricity-based powertrain.

But there is more on the horizon for Ford's all-electric lineup. The All-Electric Ford F-150 is expected to revolutionize towing capacity. One demo video shows the prototype towing more than 1 million pounds in a train yard. Ford anticipates the All-Electric lineup to withstand temperatures down to 40-below zero. If these estimates hold up, the all-electric lineup is sure to impress Corona and Fullerton drivers.

What about charging your new Ford All-Electric vehicle? Ford predicts 80-percent of your vehicle's charging will be done at home. That is why Ford will offer a variety of in-home charging stations with each model. Each hour of charging with the optional Ford Connected Charge station should get you about 32 miles of driving around Anaheim and beyond. While the standard Ford Mobile Charger gets you an estimated 22 miles per charging hour. Both estimates are based on a 240-volt outlet.

The future has arrived in the form of the Ford Mustang Mach-E all-electric SUV. Catch a glimpse of the future of driving, at Fairway Ford. Ask our team about Ford's all-electric vehicle lineup and you'll discover yourself changing the way you drive.
